Dog Builds

Bloodhound: Brave Dog
Shortcut – Nosy – Nosier – Sharp – Poop-dar – Brave
If you are going to be on a map with aggressive animals this build will save your life countless times.
The dog is still an amazing tracker.
Overall this is my top build for the Bloodhound.
Bloodhound: Master Tracker
Shortcut – Nosy – Nosier – Sharp – Poop-dar – Master Tracker
This build will be the best tracker by far, but will leave you open to more attacks.
Sharp is much better than Spotted overall. If you take good shots you won’t need Spotted anyway.
I would personally have Brave Dog and Master Tracker on different dogs, and choose based on the map I was hunting on.
Bloodhound: Love Bug
Loving – 6th Sense – Nosier – Sharp – Close – Brave
This is the ultimate companion build, but is the worst tracker build.
Your dog will be much more willing to follow commands, and will still track, but slowly.
The dog will stay closer to you and fend off predators easier due to being closer to you.
In theory Howl would be better as it would help you to alert or spook stuff off if you wanted.
However, I absolutely cannot recommend Howl over Nosier, because from experience it doesn’t do anything at all.
Labrador Retriever: Master Retriever
Strong – 6th Sense – Bold – Sharp – Webbed Paws – Retriever
This build will give you the best possible retrieval distance and success rate.
This is by far the best build for the Retriever.
Labrador Retriever: Fierce Retriever
Strong – 6th Sense – Bold – Sharp – Close – Brave
This build will allow you to have a dog that will stick close to you in order to fend off aggressive animals while you hunt.
Only send him out to retrieve at the end hunting an area when you are sure you are safe.
This is good for Parque Fernando due to Water Buffalo.
This is good for Yukon Valley due to Wolves
