Hunter Power Pack Update

A new weapon pack DLC, The Hunter Power Pack, is on it’s way March 14th, 2023. The pack will be $3.99 and include weapons and cosmetics. They’ve also said a new update is coming at the same time. UPDATE: A Hirschfelden Veteran Cosmetics Pack has been leaked, and I’ve added new information.

New Weapons

• Tsurugi LRR .338: A 5 round bolt action .338. Something to finally give us more than one viable option for hunting those large game animals. This should cover classes 7 – 9. I personally don’t like the design of the weapon, as to me it’s just ugly. I’ll still be using it though.
• Malmer 7MM Magnum: A 3 round bolt action 7MM. This should be a great addition for many loadouts as it will cover classes 4 – 9. This rifle looks great.
• Olsson Model 23: a multi round bolt action .308. For many this will just be another choice in the ever growing class 4 – 8 range. This rifle looks great.

Updates

• The New DLC releases on Tuesday March 14th, on all platforms.
• A new secondary Premium Cosmetics Pack has also been leaked. It’s supposedly called the Hirschfelden Veterans Pack.
• The update is adding the ability to see animal distance on the animal information card that shows up in the top right corner when you spot an animal.
• The update is adding loadouts to the game. Right now it looks like the first 5 will be free and open, with more that you can purchase with increasing amounts of credits.
• The update is adding a free Trophy Cabin for all players. This is not your traditional lodge where you can do what you want. Apparently, it only allows you to put animals from Hirschfelden and Layton Lakes. It does not allow you to just place what you want where you want either. All but one mount is apparently already decided for you. You just put the animal they want there. It’s like they are specifically trying to copy Way Of The Hunter with this. I don’t see this as a good thing, because the COTW Trophy Lodges were miles ahead of WOTH to start with.
• A new European Bison Multimount has been confirmed, but at this time I don’t know if there are more. People are speculating that this means we are getting a Great One European Bison. This is in no way confirmed at this time though.
